Intro
My name is Michaylah Malone and I am a writer, prepper, and Graphic Designer.
I grew up in Paris, Texas, and moved to Zanesville, Ohio, to attend the School of Kingdom Writers program.
I’ve worked in the Graphic Design world since 2014 and have been writing stories since I can remember. In early 2021, God told me that I would dive deeper into the writing world and here I am! Sharing what I’ve learned about preparedness and writing stories that involve the prepper world.
A little of my story:
Imagine this scenario with me: you’re at work in the middle of the day and decide to check on your Facebook feed for a few minutes. Soon enough, you find yourself reading a news headline that says the Doomsday Clock has been moved forward an hour and the world is that much closer to ending.
Do you sense the panic rising?
Think back to home. What do you have in your pantry waiting for you? What food is there? What about water? Do you have enough gas to get home?
My friend, I know there are plenty of anxiety inducing situations we all face every day so believe me when I say that I am not trying to create a new one for you.
I tell you this scenario because this is exactly what led me to become the prepper I am today.
I found myself out of breath and panicking at my job because I realized that I wasn’t ready. You may be asking yourself if you’re ready for a disaster but if you’re not, I’m here to tell you that you can be.
There is no need to panic.
Since 2016, I have been actively researching the prepper lifestyle and developing my own mindset on preparedness. While living in Dallas, Texas, I became a certified member of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), which is a hands-on training program for responding to natural disasters. I’ve also become a part of prepper communities, traveled around the globe, have a Bug Out Bag/Get Home Bag, and on the plus side, am not worried about my survival if I got lost while hiking.

My prepper mindset has changed a bit after living in the south my whole life and now living in a “real” winter state. But if there is one thing I’ve learned in this life most is that there is always something new to learn and share with others.
As I learn, so do you!
